VertiCal Afterschool Program

Vertical Afterschool Program is a FREE program available to all middle school kids in the Enid area. This program is every school-day from 3:30pm - 5:30pm and is located at Longfellow Middle School in the old Gym.

During this program students will receive a snack, tutoring and homework help, character development, mentoring, and have extra curricular activities such as games, art, music, and more. The program also utilizes programs such as the YMCA and YouthFields for physical activities such as swimming, Rock wall climbing, paintball, archery, and bubble soccer, to name a few. The goal of this program is not only to give middle school students a positive and supportive place to hang out, but to encourage healthy lifestyle choices by helping them develop important character traits and discover their natural strengths and abilities.

Arrangements can be made for students at Waller and Emerson Middle Schools to be dropped off on the school bus routes. At the end of each day, parents will be responsible for picking up students or students can walk home. Transportation home can be arranged at a cost of $2 per trip. (If a student can't afford $2 per ride, a financial aid application can be completed to reduce the cost.)
