We are seeking counselors to join our team! Making a Difference, Inc. is a non-profit, outpatient mental health agency that seeks to make a difference in our world by providing social services and activities that meet the needs of people and families in our community.
We are dedicated to providing exceptional services to our staff and clients. We offer free supervision for those who qualify. Candidates seeking a position with our team must be team players, motivated, compassionate, independent and organized.
We also offer loan repayment assistance through the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. Through this program you can get help to repay your outstanding, qualifying, educational loans. For full-time service, you can receive up to $50,000 for a two-year initial term, and for half-time service, you can receive up to $25,000 for a two-year initial term. NHSC loan repayment funds are exempt from federal income and employment taxes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Counseling. Provides evidence-based, behavioral/mental health services. We offer individual counseling for children, teens, and adults as well as family and couples counseling.

Treatment Planning. Collaborates with clients to create treatment plan. Modifies plan as needed.

Crisis Intervention. Provides immediate support in situations of critical need for clients. This may include emotional and behavioral support and/or contacting emergency support services. Shares 24/7/365 oncall with other section mental health providers.

Case Management. Collaborates with outside professionals for the purpose of supporting evaluation, treatment planning, client care coordination, and/or the provision of counseling and therapy for clients and families.

Record Maintenance. Maintains patient records that include evaluation, treatment plan, billing notes, progress, etc. via electronic medical record system and HIPAA compliant databases.

Training. Trains or assists in the training of new therapists, interns, etc. as needed. Attends bi-weekly staff meetings and trainings.

Policies. Complies with all federal and state regulations and agency policy and code of ethics. Complies with legal reporting standards. Documents case notes of services provided.

As Needed. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Education:

Master’s Degree from an accredited program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
